Dress Directions
You will need....

1  Lightweight iron on interfacing (interlining). (not muslin.)
2  Heat and Bond...lightweight
3  Stop Fraying by Aleene's or similar product.
4  Fixative spray to keep the ink from smearing. (optional)
5  White cloth-covered stem wire (florist wire) for hanger.
6  You should make or buy
A fabric sheet. This is lightweight cotton ironed on to  freezer paper.  See directions:
Cut the page of pieces in half. The half with the bodice, sleeve, collar, and fabric should have fusible, (iron-on) interfacing bonded to it.

The other half with the skirt and cumberbund should be cut out with paper backing still on. Apply Stop Fraying to just the very edges using the tip of a finger. Be very careful as the Stop Fraying will cause the ink to run and smear. Do not peel paper backing until ready to work on skirt part.

Cut out all pieces. Fold the skirt on the fold line and press. gather the skirt with two row of small running stiches going thru the folded under piece also. Gather waist to the size of the folded bodice. Leave excess on the top of the skirt. This will be "pushed" up into the bodice.

Fold bodice piece and tabs and press. Use a piece of paper or paper towel so that the ink does not smear.

Use tiny pieces of  Heat and Bond to fasten tabs together, or use white glue. Do not fasten back. It has to be open to put the hanger in.

Sleeves: Use tiny strips of  Heat and Bond to fasten tab. Gather on the dotted line. Place small strip of Heat and Bond on excess at end of sleeve. Iron on. Place excess on end of sleeve inside bodice and press using paper between iron and dress.

Lay a strip of Heat and Bond around the top part of the gathered skirt. (The part that will be inside the bodice.) Put paper on top and press. Let cool and peel paper off.
Open bodice and lay the gathered skirt inside. Using paper between dress and iron, iron the bodice and skirt together.

Collar: Cut a piece of Heat and Bond about 1/8 inch smaller than the collar. Iron on to collar back.
Put the hanger inside the dress.
Put the collar over the hanger and dress and using paper, press lightly just so some parts of the collar adhear to the dress. You want the collar to look fairly loose.

Pull the dress at waist to pull apart a little, so that it looks like a hanging dress.

There, that wasn't so hard was it.
If you find any other ways to put this together or little tricks that might help others, please email me with them. I can make a special page with Tips for All.

To make hanger use pattern at left. Make a circle with florists cloth coated wire and twist at the top. Cut off one end near the neck of the hanger and use the other end to bend into a half circle. Squeeze the circle until it resembles the pattern.
see below for hanger pattern.
Making
fabric
paper
To make fabric paper. Cut a piece of plastic backed freezer paper several inches bigger that a regular 8.5x11" sheet of paper. Cut a piece of lightweight, tightly woven cotton fabric a little smaller. Use a white or very light color.  Iron the fabric to the paper. Be very careful that there are no threads on the edges.
Use your finger to just lightly touch the edges of the fab-paper with Stop Fraying.  Make sure there are no lumps of Stop Fraying on the edges. Let dry very well.
I have done this quite a few times with my printer and it seems ok but you must do it at your own risk to your printer.  You can also buy fabric paper. I think Cannon carries it.
